Squirrels is a group designed for children with different needs. It has been designed to allow both children and carers to explore and learn about the natural world and provides opportunities for discovery and connection with nature, while promoting social interaction and learning in a supportive environment.
About the sessions
Each session is relaxed and includes different seasonal themed activities, such as sensory walks, fire pit cooking, wildlife walks, stream exploring combined with activity stations at the Stickyard.
Children can choose to stay at the Stickyard or go on an adventure to the Chatsworth Garden or Stand Wood. The sessions are planned to enable children to enjoy creative play and the outdoors at their own pace.
Venue
Squirrels Nature Club is held at Chatsworth Stickyard, our outdoor learning centre. This is a covered venue located in Stand Wood, near the Farmyard and Adventure Playground.
Accessibility
There is a fairly steep incline to reach the venue along a paved pathway. The venue includes an accessible toilet.
