Join an expert from our landscape team for a truly rare experience to visit Chatsworth Old Park. Explore and learn more about the Old Park, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and an area of the park normally closed to visitors.
After a short trip on our tractor-trailer from Chatsworth out to the Old Park, you will enjoy a guided walk through the historic parkland with an expert member of our landscape team, learning about its natural history and discovering one of the best collections of veteran oak trees in the country.
This two hour tour includes entry to Chatsworth Garden on the day.
Meeting Point
Please meet at the bottom of Lodge hill just below the Park Shop at 9:50am.
Important Information
The tour will take place whatever the weather so please dress appropriately. We recommend sturdy boots or wellies and warm wet weather clothes.
Please note that dogs are not permitted on the landscape tours.
Accessibility
The route includes a mostly gradual descent with one section that is a little steeper mostly on grass but there is potential for mud in areas. Unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
