17 May 2025 | 10am to 4pm

£160 per person, includes materials, lunch and garden entry

In this nature inspired workshop led by jeweller Louise Collins, you will create unique jewellery from silver clay.

Using natural materials selected from the Chatsworth gardens you will use moulds and different silver clay techniques to turn them into beautiful solid silver jewellery. It is a magical process and your Jewellery will be solid silver of hallmark quality, and ready to wear home by the end of the day

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced jeweller, the tutor will be on hand to guide you through the process. This is a relaxed, informal session with no previous experience necessary. You’ll learn to design, shape, fire, and polish beautiful jewellery using eco-friendly silver clay, made from recycled materials like x-rays and electronics. You'll use leaves, flowers, and other natural elements to craft up to five unique silver pieces, such as pendants, earrings, or charms, which you’ll take home at the end of the day.

Your tutor Louise will explain how the pieces of nature will be incorporated into the designs by creating moulds or firing into the clay.

Silver clay is an environmentally-friendly recycled product, which when fired, becomes solid silver of Hallmark quality.

This workshop is suitable for most abilities, but does require manual dexterity.
