Join us in the garden and the farmyard this summer and discover a range of activities that every member of the family can take part in, with a different theme each week.
Many of the activities are included in your entry ticket.
Flower Week: Monday 11 - Sunday 17 August
Celebrate nature with us and enjoy flower themed crafts and walks, while learning about the role of flowers in nature.
Wild Flower Printing, Pressing & Paper Modelling
When: Tuesday 12 & Thursday 14 August | 10.30am to 12.30pm & 1.30pm to 3.30pm
Where: The Old Potting Shed, in the Garden
Drop in sessions. Free with all tickets that include the garden.
Family Flower Walks in the Garden
When: Monday 11, Wednesday 13 & Friday 15 August | 11am, 12pm & 1.30pm (last approximately 1 hour)
Where: Meet at the Production Garden entrance
Enjoy a sensory walk around the production garden to discover different flower species, spot pollinators and learn how we help wildlife by growing beautiful flowers. You can taste edible flowers, smell delicious herbs, and find pollen like a bee!

Face Painting
When: Saturday 16 - Sunday 17 August | 11am to 3pm

Young Farmers
When: Wednesday 13 & Friday 15 August | 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Where: Chatsworth Farmyard

Get Active Week: Monday 18 - Sunday 24 August
Participate in the Garden Olympics, try balancing on natural equipment in the Pinetum, and enjoy sports day in the Farmyard.

In the farmyard you can meet our friendly animals, from pigs and horses to mischievous goats and guinea pigs, many of whom you can feed, pet or even cuddle.
In the playground, climb our tall towers for a bird's eye view, descend at speed on our racing slides, scramble across the wood tangle, zip on the zip wire, dig in the giant sand pit or use an Archimedes screw to fetch water from the stream...there are hours of adventures in store.
