In this hands on creative workshop, you'll learn the art of lino printing, carving your own unique designs inspired by the festive season. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, our tutor will guide you through the process to produce your own beautiful set of handmade bunting, perfect to decorate your home or give as a gift this Christmas.
About the session
We'll provide all the materials, including lino blocks, carving tools, inks, and bunting. Printing can get messy – please bring an apron or wear old clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. No previous experience of printmaking is required. Please be aware that this workshop is intended for adults only (18+) and requires manual dexterity. This session includes refreshments, a locally sourced graze box lunch and entry to the Chatsworth Garden Illuminated Walk after the workshop.
The workshop takes place in The Old Potting Shed, which is a step free venue accessible from the garden. Please make your way to the Old Potting Shed ten minutes before the session start time. About the artist – Diane Cooper
This workshop is led by Diane Cooper, an art teacher of 18 years who now also provides workshops for all ages here at Chatsworth and at her home studio. Diane is Fine Art trained and in her own practice she specializes in oil painting and printmaking using a range of processes.
