At Chatsworth, we measure performance in terms of our triple bottom line: our social, economic and environmental impacts. We find that our visitors respect our efforts to act responsibly and they want to engage with our sustainability journey. As such, we provide a Responsible Visitor Charter containing practical suggestions for acting in a sustainable manner.
Visitor wellbeing
Our visitors are surveyed throughout the year, including during events. This research also informs our visitor experience plan, enabling us to share engaging stories and experiences in line with our Core Values.
A number of measures included in our surveys help us to gauge visitor wellbeing; these are enjoyment, value for money and likelihood to recommend. We define excellence as a score exceeding 90%.
Results from our 2023 visitor surveys are below.
