We aim to enable every child in local schools to experience the Chatsworth Estate as part of their primary education.
With a year-round calendar of events and programme of lifelong learning, we create meaningful and relevant experiences for all.
We reach local schools through both physical visits and a virtual presence in schools. Our learning team has developed a suite of curriculum-linked learning resources and can provide content and sessions tailored to specific needs.
We are proud to offer a diverse range of activities focused on the themes of arts, heritage and outdoor learning. From gallery art workshops and outdoor poetry, to bumblebee safaris and butterfly walks, there are opportunities for all.

Travel subsidy
One of the biggest barriers for access is the cost of transport. Our travel subsidy, with a simplified application process, helps enable access by schools and community groups that may otherwise not have the means to visit.
In 2023, more than 2,000 children and 500 adults visited with support of the scheme, an increase of more than 40% since 2022.
