This conservator led tour is a rare opportunity to have full access to our textile team and learn more about the conservation projects taking place in the guest bedrooms and behind the scenes at Chatsworth, including the restoration of a 200-year old Aubusson carpet and the endangered skill of passementerie.
Your ticket includes a tour of the guest bedrooms, where our team will be working, and where we have recently restored hand-printed 18th century Chinese wallpapers. The tour allows time for questions.
Please meet at 9.50am at the house entrance. After the tour, explore the house and garden at your own pace, with a complimentary hot drink voucher for Flora’s café in the garden.
Accessibility
Please note this tour is not suitable for buggies or push chairs. The route includes some stairs but a lift is available, there will be periods of standing.
