Event Details

Saturday 15 November

9.30am to 4pm | £125 per person

Includes all materials, refreshments, and house and garden entry on the day of the workshop.

About the session

In this hands-on creative workshop, you'll learn the art of lino printing, carving your own unique designs inspired by the festive season. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, our tutor will guide you through the process to produce your own set of handmade bunting, perfect to decorate your home or give as a gift this Christmas.

We'll provide all the materials, including lino blocks, carving tools, inks, and bunting. Printing can get messy; please bring an apron or wear appropriate clothing. No previous experience of printmaking is required. Please be aware that this workshop is intended for adults only (18+) and requires manual dexterity.

What is included?

Tickets include complimentary parking for one vehicle, along with entry to Chatsworth House and Garden on the day of your workshop.

The workshop takes place during the Christmas market, to which entry is free.

You may enter the house and garden at any time - a booked time slot is not required. Please check house and garden opening times and last entry times to ensure you leave enough time for your visit.

On arrival at Chatsworth, please show your booking QR code at the car park entrance and the house and garden entrances. Please read our Important Information section below before you travel.

Meeting point and refreshments

Tea, coffee and a farm shop mince pie will be provided.

Please bring a packed lunch, or enjoy an hour at lunchtime to purchase refreshments from the onsite café, or one of the many food vendors at the Christmas markets.

Please meet at the top garden gate at 9.20am. Latecomers may not be admitted and refunds will not be given.

The workshop takes place in The Old Potting Shed, which is a step-free venue accessible from the garden. Please email education@chatsworth.org if you have any access requirements or if you require a carer present.

Important Information

Christmas is the busiest time of the year at Chatsworth, and our parking arrangements will be different to those you are used to.

On arrival, you may be directed to park on the trackway in the park land where our tractor and trailer shuttle bus can take you to and from the main house car park. Please, therefore, leave plenty of time to travel to your destination, dress appropriately for the weather, and have access to a torch.

As this workshop includes tickets to Christmas at Chatsworth, please ensure you also read the Important Information on this event page.
